Pigmentation — What is it?

Video Transcript: – Hi, my name is Daniela, and I’m a European master artist. Many times I get phone calls by people who are asking me how does pigmentation work. I am either working with a microblade or a mechanized needle to puncture the skin and place pigments into the epidermis. The body cannot absorb these pigments because they are too large, so they remain visibly in the skin. Permanent makeup can usually fade over time. Our face is exposed to sunlight and daylight on a regular basis unlike body tattoos, so it fades a little quicker than other tattoos that are not as visible. A color boost touch up is recommended yearly to keep up your permanent makeup looking fresh and crisp all the time.
